The Real Work

Companies don't grow
through gimmicks.
They grow through people.

Most owners in the trades believe the next jump in growth comes from sharper pricing, newer tools, or whatever the consultants are selling this year. In the field, it almost never works that way. The companies that pull ahead are the ones whose people get better, whose leaders get stronger, and whose culture can carry the weight of growth. That's the work. It's harder than a gimmick. It also lasts.

The Approach

About Hugh Hornsby

Speaking from Experience,
Not Theory

Hugh spent four decades in plumbing, HVAC, and wholesale distribution — long enough to help grow organizations like Everflow, Water Coolers, MIFAB, and Sunroc, and to be named Person of the Year by The Wholesaler magazine in 2024. But the part of his story that shapes how he leads isn't on the résumé. He's come through cancer, watched a business come apart, and rebuilt his career with a clearer sense of why it matters. He speaks from the experience, not from theory.

I've helped turn around multiple companies. Every single time, it came down to the people — never the gimmick.
